Midlands Air Ambulance Charity were successful in their Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard, supported by Eileen Fielding from Dudley CVS Volunteer Centre, who is the local IiV Advisor. Why not watch their video story here?
In September 2013 Dudley CVS Volunteer Centre was invited to take part in a pilot project, in partnership with Wolverhampton Volunteer Centre, NCVO and Investing in Volunteers: to support local small groups with no paid staff through the Investing In Volunteers [IiV] process as advisors. The Dudley support team consisted of Eileen Fielding and Caroline Webb from Dudley CVS.
Despite tight deadlines and a few challenges along the way, I am proud to have worked with Hope Centre Halesowen and Woodside Community Centre to help them achieve the Award. There was a lot of work involved and a matter of weeks to get it all done! It’s certainly grounds to celebrate and a testament to their hard work and effort. Every volunteer played their part and it was a real group effort. Well done!

Feedback from the Assessor’s Report
“For such a cash poor organisation their support for volunteers is impressive both in terms of time given for 1-2-1 and group supervision and in terms of formal training. One volunteer said ‘I do feel valued, it has helped my self-esteem, I feel valued as a person’.”
WOODSIDE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
Feedback from the Assessor’s Report
“The appreciation shown by volunteers with regards to the support and recognition they receive at WCA is clearly reciprocated, with the Chairman saying “I can’t thank these people enough.”
