OPP OF THE DAY: Volunteers/Helpers, 3rd Brierley Hill Scout Group

We are looking for volunteers/helpers to develop the true potential of young people. The group is looking for volunteers/helpers to take some pressure off the Leaders and to help run/manage the Sections:

  • Scouts (11 – 14 yrs) on a Monday night 7 – 8.30 pm
  • Beavers (6 – 8 yrs) & Cubs (8 – 11 yrs) on a Wednesday night 6.30 – 7.45 pm

New volunteers will receive help/support and work with experienced Leaders at all times. You will not be ‘thrown in at the deep end’.

Volunteering can help young people develop their true potential, so why not join us?

There are many reasons why adults choose to volunteer for Scouting. Here are some that existing volunteers have given:

“To give something back to the community: ‘I believe the kids get such a lot out of it; I just put a bit back for what the kids take out.'”

“To support the Leaders: ‘They give so much, you’ve got to give some of that back.'”

“Because volunteering is a ‘good thing’: ‘I just personally believe that you should always do some kind of voluntary work otherwise nothing would get done in this world.””

Monday, Wednesday, evenings
Occasional weekends
Commitment: Flexible/Part Time
