Hours: 35 hours per week (minimum of 16 hours considered) per week
Salary: £19,510 – £20,604 (pro-rata) depending upon experience
Contract: Fixed term Maternity leave cover from 3rd August 2020 – 31st March 2021
Citizens Advice Dudley Borough is a charity that offers free, impartial and independent advice to over 13,000 people per year, resolving over 43,000 advice issues to diverse communities across Dudley Borough, many of whom often have complex support needs or complex casework issues.
We are delivering a service called “Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help residents of Dudley Borough to make a new claim to Universal Credit and be ready for when their first payment arrives.
The role includes supporting clients with making online applications, checking the evidence required, and verifying their identity online using face-to-face, telephone and web chat. You need to have good planning and organising skills to organise clients dropping in to our information hub who need help to complete a universal credit application as well as supporting volunteers who will also be helping clients. Training will be provided.
The post is 5 days a week:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, the post is based at our information hub in Dudley town centre – subject to Coronavirus restrictions at present.
On Wednesday’s and Friday’s, you will be based at either Stourbridge or Halesowen Job Centre helping claimants there. Due to Coronavirus restrictions the current post holder is working from home.
We are looking for motivated self-starters, a people’s person with excellent customer service and organisational skills and the ability to use a computer and mentor others.
