STOP!!! Use your skills to help our life-changing charity keep supporting those in need!
What we do:
Our aim is to provide a safe accepting environment where people can meet, build relationships of fellowship, understanding and love. A community where people can access activities; social and educational at their point of need and to assist all by supporting, befriending and serving in whatever way possible to alleviate distress, poverty and loneliness. We do this as we work from a basis of Christian commitment and values of love, hope and friendship. We believe we are all family, every person is important and every person has a purpose.
The Hope Centre has been awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service [MBE for voluntary groups] in recognition of the outstanding service its volunteers give to the local community.
Why we need YOU!
The Hope Centre in Halesowen runs a retail shop in the town centre and are keen to recruit some new volunteers, who may enjoy helping out. This is their main method of raising funds to run the centre and provide the essential support they offer to local people in the Halesowen area, often they are the person’s last hope to sort their problems. They have had a shop in the Hope Centre for a while, but have loads of fabulous stock, so are expanding into a retail unit. You would be sorting and pricing stock, helping with displays and chatting to customers, as well as using the till. The shop will be open Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, but they can’t open the shop without volunteers, which is where you come in!
