The role provides, support, information and signpost people with dementia as well as their families and carers; answering incoming calls, identifying their needs and forwarding to the Dementia Support Worker as necessary. You would also be trained to input referral on to the in-house computer system.

Skills:
We are looking for volunteers with good telephone and basic IT skills who have an understanding or experience of dementia, or willingness to learn. You must be willing to complete any necessary training, be happy to work as part of a team and be able to demonstrate confidentiality in practice. If you are a good listener, have a welcoming, compassionate, supportive attitude and can demonstrate empathy this could be a perfect role for you.
