Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
Carers Week takes place from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 June 2017. We’re continuing our focus on building Carer Friendly Communities, which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.
There are 6.5 million carers in the UK (38,000 in Dudley) and this number continues to rise. Many people don’t realise they are carers and so do not access the support and services available to them.
See the schedule below for information about where you can speak to the Dudley Carers Alliance team throughout the week.
