Does it add up? #chipintuesday #takethechallenge

17-5-23What’s a calculator got to do with helping people I hear you say!

Numbers are a part of everyday life for us all, whether it’s telling the time or paying for something in a shop.  Unfortunately although you may be numerate, not everyone has had the same opportunities to develop skills with numbers. They may have left school early, struggled with maths at school or have poor confidence or self-esteem. YOU can make a huge difference.

We have roles supporting children in schools to boost their numeracy and also adults.  You may have a family member or friend who’s struggling, so why not help them get to grips with numbers?

Do you love figures?

If so there are other options for volunteering such as being a Treasurer for a charity, keeping their accounts updated and sending out invoices etc. Or, you could help them raise essential funds by researching, writing and submitted funding bids to grant makers.  You’re just the kind of volunteer they need.

Volunteering adds up!
