OPP OF THE DAY: Board Members, CHADD

CHADD Board Member VacanciesCHADD
CHADD [Churches Housing Association of Dudley and District] are looking to appoint new Board members with the skills to support the board through strategic changes in both the social housing and voluntary sector. In particular, the organisation is looking for a new Treasurer with expertise in the areas of finance, and candidates with legal expertise and experience in public relations/communications and information technology.

CHADD is a small specialist provider of supported housing and community based services, chaired by the Bishop of Dudley, with an excellent track record and commitment to communities in Dudley. We have over 37 years’ experience of providing housing and support services and we currently provide support to:
– Victims of domestic abuse – including the women’s refuge properties in Dudley
– Young people – our Foyer service providing housing and training
– Older people – sheltered housing and outreach support
– People with disabilities – learning difficulties and those requiring mental health support

Joining our board will offer you an exciting opportunity to share your skills and make an important contribution to our strategic direction and drive continuous improvement within CHADD. Key to this will be a clear demonstration of enthusiasm to embrace our mission to support people towards greater independence.

Board members are required to commit to twelve meetings/half-days (and the associated reading/preparation time) each year to attend board and subcommittee meetings. Board members are unpaid but may be reimbursed for reasonable out of pocket expenses.

To apply, in the first instance, please express your interest via: admin@chadd.org.uk

For an informal discussion and to hear more about our work, please contact Anna Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer on 01384 456 465.
Interviews will be held in July/August 2016.
