Reporting to:         Senior Management Team

Hours of work:      15 hours per week – ideally over 5 days but negotiable

Holidays:               25 days annual leave (with yearly incremental rise)

Based in:               Dudley (with travel across West Midlands)

FIXED TERM CONTRACT – ENDS 30TH SEPTEMBER 2016

 

Purpose of Role

To supervise the service delivery team and ensure the smooth running of SHS services.

 

Main Duties 

  • To supervise and manage the service delivery team (staff and volunteers), ensuring the smooth running of the services; monitoring work and ensuring quality standards are met. This will include recruitment, staff induction, ongoing supervision and appraisal, identifying training needs and assisting in staff development
  • To ensure service delivery is conducted in a professional manner in line with current policies, procedures and related strategic documents
  • To provide resilience for the team covering service delivery when necessary
  • To produce operational reports in a timely and professional
  • To attend and/or arrange strategic and/or operational meetings as necessary
  • To maintain (and update staff on) an up to date knowledge of legislation around the areas of LGBT, Well-Being and Recovery issues relating to SHS current and potential future client groups.
  • To liaise/network with local services and other agencies to create and/or maintain care pathways
  • Develop relationships with existing or potential partners currently working in the areas of LGBT, Well-Being and Recovery to enable referrals to SHS service
  • When directed by a manager, undertake any other task appropriate to the skills and responsibilities of a Team Leader

  • There will be an occasional requirement for travel
  • Unsociable hours/weekend working will be required
