Sometimes we have to go out into the community to tell people about the RSPB, not everyone knows we’re here, or that nature needs looking after.
As a community ambassador you will help the RSPB engage with the local community and help to gently introduce people to the rspb, wildlife or to the idea of spending more time outdoors. This might mean you’re leading a guided walk for a local health walk group, or going to a local youth club and making bird feeders, or even attending a community forum.
As a community ambassador you will need to have excellent communication skills, care about creating a stronger local community and believe that people connecting with nature is important. Don’t worry if your wildlife knowledge is not up to scratch, we can teach you about that, we just want you to get in touch if you like talking, meeting people from diverse backgrounds and are looking to make a positive contribution to the community.
One day per month.
